Sometimes

I wake up

to blood

in places

where the night before

there was none.

And now my dreams,

have only gotten worse.

is a guarantee,

You’ll leave a light on

or two.

Anxiety can be a funny thing

not “haha” funny

or even amusing

Funny in the sense that it can be so horrifying

So crippling, so lonesome

That it’s funny.
